Step 2:Check the charger and cable functionality.

Check the charger and cable functionality

1. Please carefully inspect both the charger and cable for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks or deformities. *Avoid using any damaged accessories.

2. Safely insert the cable into the charger port, and then plug the entire charger into a power outlet. Make sure the connection between the cable, charger, and power outlet is secure and stable.

3. Check if the cable and charger are functioning properly by charging your heated apparel or mobile devices. If you encounter any issues or the charger fails to operate as expected, reach out to our customer service team for further assistance.

Step 3: Inspect and test the battery.

1. Inspect the appearance of the battery for any noticeable damage, such as swelling, cracks, or loose ports. To ensure safety, please don’t use a damaged battery.

2. Press the power button to check the battery level.

  • For 7.4V@5000mAh batteries, it comes with an LCD display to show the battery level. A reading of 100 on the display indicates that the battery is fully charged.

Note:

  • 7.4V@5000mAh batteries cannot support fast charging and it usually takes 6-8 hrs to be fully charged with a 5V/2A charger. 7.4V@4800mAh batteries require a 5V/3A charger for fast charging, fully charged only in 4 hours. Additionally, a 20V/1.75A charger for charging 7.4V@7200mAh and 7.4V@10000mAh batteries can achieve a quick charge within 2 or 3 hours.

4. Verify if the battery powers both the heated apparel and mobile phone properly. If it charges both devices successfully, the apparel may be the issue. If it charges the mobile phone but not the apparel, the problem may lie with the battery. Contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Step 4: Check if the heated apparel can activate preheating.

1. Make sure your battery has sufficient remaining power, then connect it to the connecting wire inside the inner battery pocket of the heated apparel.

2. Press and hold the power button on the apparel for 3-5 seconds until the red LED lights up. It indicates the apparel begins to preheat for 5 minutes and then it automatically adjusts to medium heat (indicated by a white LED).

Note:
Venustas heated gloves 2.0 and heated socks do not feature the preheating function. Simply press the power button for 3-5 seconds until the red LED lights up to start at a high level.

3. Move to the next step if your apparel can successfully activate preheating. If not, please try another Venustas battery (if you have one) and repeat the above steps. If it still cannot work, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Step 5: Check if the power button can cycle through different heating levels.

After preheating, shortly press the power button to adjust the heating levels, inspecting if it can cycle through high level, medium level, and low level. If you can smoothly switch between 3 heating levels, please move to step 6. If not, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Note:

  • Venustas heated socks will automatically switch to medium heat after remaining at the high level for 15 minutes.

Step 6: Check if heated apparel can generate obvious heat.

To test the level of the warmth, please adjust the apparel at the high level and then zip it up. After 3-5 minutes, touch the heating zones on the inner lining to feel the warmth. In normal conditions, the temperature of the high level is 131℉/55℃, so you can feel the obvious heat. If you cannot feel any warmth, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Note:

  • For a more accurate assessment, conduct this test indoors. Exposure to lower temperatures or unzipping the apparel could affect the experience.
