Venustas Heated Apparel Troubleshooting Guide [2024 Update]

Got a snag with your Venustas heated gear? No worries – we're here to help! Follow these easy steps, and you'll have your gear back up and running, keeping you cozy in that Venustas warmth and style. Let's get you back out there, enjoying the outdoors in true Venustas fashion!

  • Step 1: Identify your heated apparel and its compatible battery pack.
  • Step 2: Check if the charger and cable are functioning properly.
  • Step 3: Check the battery.
  • Step 4: Check if the heated apparel can activate preheating.
  • Step 5: Check if the power button can cycle through different heating levels.
  • Step 6: Check if your heated apparel can generate obvious heat.

  • Venustas chargers and charger cable are specially equipped to charge Venustas batteries, ensuring a complete match and excellent charging performance. Venustas batteries are intricately designed to integrate with Venustas heated apparel to ensure safety and heating efficiency.
  • Please don’t use non-original plugs, charging cables, and batteries in case of any potential risks, such as product damage, fire, explosion, or other hazardous incidents. Any issue caused by the non-original accessories cannot be covered under the warranty.

  • As part of our efforts to reach our environmental goal, our 12V heated clothing does not include the charger. Our batteries are compatible with all kinds of power adapter or third-party adapter that comply with applicable safety cables.

Step 2:Check if the charger and cable are functioning properly.

Check the charger and cable functionality

1. Please carefully inspect both the charger and cable for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks or deformities. *Avoid using any damaged accessories.

2. Safely insert the cable into the charger port, and then plug the entire charger into a power outlet. Make sure the connection between the cable, charger, and power outlet is secure and stable.

3. Check if the cable and charger are functioning properly by charging your heated apparel or mobile devices. If you encounter any issues or the charger fails to operate as expected, reach out to our customer service team for further assistance.

Step 3: Inspect and test the battery.

1. Inspect the appearance of the battery for any noticeable damage, such as swelling, cracks, or loose ports. To ensure safety, please don’t use a damaged battery.

2. Press the power button to check the battery level. For Venustas-6000 batteries, Venustas-7500 batteries, and Venustas-10000 batteries, the battery indicator represents the battery level. The number of illuminated indicator lights corresponds to different battery levels.

3. If none of the indicator lights, it may indicate the battery is out of power and needs charging. After fully charging, unplug the battery from the cable and press the battery button to verify the power level.

Note:

4. Verify if the battery powers both the heated apparel and mobile phone properly. If it charge neither, the battery may be faulty. If it only can charge the mobile phone, there maybe something wrong with the apparel; If it charges both but the heated apparel cannot heat, there might be an issue with the apparel. Contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Step 4: Check if the heated apparel can activate preheating.

1. Make sure your battery has sufficient remaining power, then connect it to the connecting wire inside the inner battery pocket of the heated apparel.

2. Press and hold the power button on the apparel for 3-5 seconds until the red LED lights up. It indicates the apparel begins to preheat for 5 minutes and then it automatically adjusts to medium heat (indicated by a white LED).

Note:
Venustas heated gloves 2.0 and heated socks do not feature the preheating function. Simply press the power button for 3-5 seconds until the red LED lights up to start at a high level.

3. Move to the next step if your apparel can successfully activate preheating. If not, please try another Venustas battery (if you have one) and repeat the above steps. If it still cannot work, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Step 5: Check if the power button can cycle through different heating levels.

After preheating, shortly press the power button to adjust the heating levels, inspecting if it can cycle through high level, medium level, and low level. If you can smoothly switch between 3 heating levels, please move to step 6. If not, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Note:

  • Venustas heated socks will automatically switch to medium heat after remaining at the high level for 15 minutes.

Step 6: Check if heated apparel can generate obvious heat.

To test the level of the warmth, please adjust the apparel at the high level and then zip it up. After 3-5 minutes, touch the heating zones on the inner lining to feel the warmth. In normal conditions, the temperature of the high level is 131℉/55℃, so you can feel the obvious heat. If you cannot feel any warmth, please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Note:

  • For a more accurate assessment, conduct this test indoors. Exposure to lower temperatures or unzipping the apparel could affect the experience.
