Venustas Heated Jacket VS Gobi Heated Jacket, Which One Is Better?

Actually, I don’t know when heated apparel become popular. Last month, I planned an exciting hiking trip with my friend Julia, a professional outdoor enthusiast. However, the problem that troubles me is what clothes I need to take.

I was wondering what’s a heated jacket at that moment. After learning, I found it’s one kind of battery powered electric jacket with built-in heating elements to keep the body warm. That sounds awesome! So, I bought two heated jackets to make a try and comparison. One is from Venustas, and the other is from Gobi Heat.

What I like

Of course, the best part I like is the warmth. The warmth is different from what traditional jackets provide. It’s sufficient, lightweight, and comfortable. I’m an outdoorsy people who always go outside in the winter. With this jacket, I feel the warmth in seconds, just like being wrapped in a warm blanket. Plus, the jacket can retain the heat for up to 8-9 hours. I wear it skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or just on walks without feeling any cold.

Also, the jacket is very lightweight. The battery placed on the zipper pocket is small and portable, which is convenient for carrying, and it doesn't add any significant weight or bulk to the jacket. It’s made of a water-resistant shell and insulation to protect me from the elements and keep my body cozy.

This Venustas heated jacket is easy to use. Just plug the cable into the battery port, press the power button, and choose the heated settings you like.

What I don’t like

Honestly, this jacket is a great choice, and worth my investment. But it’s not perfect. I usually wear slim-fitted clothes, but the size of this jacket is a little large for me. On the other side, the button light is not visible in the daytime. I think it would be better to put the button inside the jacket.

Gobi Heated Jacket Review

Another one I bought is a Gobi Mens Heated Jacket. My wife said it’s a warm choice to maintain a fashionable outlook in winter.

What I like

What mostly impressed me was the color when I first saw this men’s heated jacket. To be honest, I've noticed that many heated jackets on the market are primarily available in black. With the recommendation of my wife, I decided to pick one in blue. When I received the package, it’s great to find that the jacket looked better than it did online. My wife said that it highlights my outlook and makes me younger.

Although this heated jacket only has 3 heating zones compared with the Venustas heated jacket, the comfort and warmth provided are impressive. The heating elements are smartly located in the most effective location (chest and back) to provide maximum warmth.

It’s a soft-shell heated jacket that provides wind-resistant and water-resistant ability. When the temperature starts to drop, I can layer it with my sweater or vest for extra warmth. It’s a versatile outwear for outdoor use, whether you are working or playing.

What I don’t like

One of the disadvantages is that the battery can add extra weight to the jacket. When I wear it for long periods, I find the battery drags me down and causes a little discomfort. Although the heating temperature is up to 140° F, it’s not breathable.

Which heated jacket is the best?

Both heated jackets provide a good way to stay warm. Based on my shopping experience, I’m satisfied with them because of their excellent performance. However, I usually wear a Vensutas heated jacket because of the effective warmth. You know, I live in Canada where the temperature is low all year round.

All in all, I think they have different features to cater to different needs. If you always live in a cold place, maybe you can choose a Venustas heated jacket because of 5 heating elements. Or if you prefer bright colors to match your daily clothes, Gobi Heat provide a flexible option for you. No matter what you choose, the first thing is to consider your needs and weather conditions.
