Jacket was made extremely well like Carhartt. Heated up very well. The size seemed to be on point with American sizing but unfortunately I had to return mine Only because the largest size they had was a 3x and I'm closer to a 4x but I figured I would give it a shot because it's the best jacket I could afford on here. I have zero complaints about this jackets . Worth the money
I purchased this for my son. He absolutely hates the cold. We live in Iowa and the wind chill today is -40. This item is getting a lot of use.
Takes a while to warm but well worth it
I ordered this for my dad who’s an OTR driver and he loves it! Said it’s super warm and the battery pack is great
First off, I like that this heated jacket doesn't look or feel like a heated jacket! Even the on/off button is a little more subtle than other vests and jackets I've seen. The style's pretty classic--with some nice details like the drawstring hood and wind-blocking cuffs--and comfy, with a nice, soft lining. This seems like a jacket you'd throw on and wear regardless of the heating features. Battery charges quickly, heat glows up well, distribution is good, and the three settings feel distinct. The best part of these jackets is putting your hands in the pockets and quickly warming them up. The listing said the jacket could be machine washed 50 times, which sounds good to me!A few quibbles: the jacket could use toggles for the hood drawstrings, and the main zipper is sticky, which is frustrating--hoping it will loosen up with use. Main issue is the fit; the jacket seems designed for those with generous mid-sections (or bulking up layers beneath?), so there's some extra room in there. The jacket's design can carry it off, but I wish I'd chosen a size smaller for a slimmer fit.
This Verustas heated jacket left me wondering what I didn't like about it more than what I did like about it.It's a very plain no frills light canvas duck style jacket. Much like many others I've owned, with the exception that this one is heated. These style heated jackets have been around for awhile now and fortunately the biggest improvements in my opinion has been the working life of the batteries has been vastly improved, however you still can get a weak one once in awhile.I wore this jacket the other morning and immediately notice it's very roomy. I did however size up on this because I plan to wear this with heavier layers underneath for working outside, and wanted complete mobility. Mission accomplished.I appreciate the snug cuffs for keeping the cold air out and the pockets are moderately sized to be able to stuff my gloves into. The hood is nice and bigI let the battery charge for a good fourteen hours before using to assure I had 100% capacity as my baseline. I set the jacket on the highest setting and let it be for the next 5-6 hours while working. It was in the low thirties and I did not overly dress underneath so that I could immediately feel how quickly the jacket got warm, and how broad an area the heating elements worked. I was not overly impressed, but not totally disappointed with the performance.I have three other heated vests and jackets and this one ranked on a scale of ten a 6.5 for consistent heat dispersement. It is possible that because I ordered a size larger I was losing heat through the lack of contact between the inside of the jacket and my body. Keep in mind, everyone's tolerance for heat is different. I work with guys who wear nothing but an untucked short sleeve t-shirt and a light hoody on very cold windy conditions and all I can say is that's not me. I love the cold weather, but I have to be comfortable.Very nice basic jacket. Looks good for whatever you choose to use it for, and the heat is an added comfort.
The fist is just right, not to small not to big, the warmth is perfect, you want to decided on the heat setting, the higher you go, the hotter it gets, for a comfortable one, try the low first
Picked this jacket up to help get through the cold New England Winters. Used this jacket a couple times in 20 degree weather and it worked great. I had the jacket on the highest setting both times for about 1 to 1.5 hours and it kept me nice and warm. The battery life has been great. Both time using it for over an hour on the high setting the battery still had over 60% battery left. Charging the battery is super easy with the included USB-C charger. The battery plugs into the jacket from an inside pocket to keep it protected. The battery also has a USB port to be used as a charger if you need to charge your phone which is a nice addition. I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a battery powered heated jacket.
