Warmest coat ever!

I bought one for myself and my husband. They heat up quickly and stay heated for a long time. I was excited that this coat came with the battery pack that you can also use to charge your phone. I’m always cold so this jacket was perfect for me. I got lucky and caught it on sale.

Love it!

I purchased this product with certain sense of uncertainty given some negative comments but found that the product was great. I do astrophotography, so I spend at least one night every other week outside in the cold weather for several hours (at maybe 4-8°C/39-46°F), and this jacket keeps me warm enough. This item was the solution for dealing with low temperatures, stay outside warm, and avoid being sick (yes, I cannot tolerate cold weather as good as other people). I wish the battery would last longer. This specific model has several heaters (4+2 at least), and I'm afraid the provided 7V battery won't last more than 3.5-4 hours if used constantly at max temperature. It maybe lasts up to 5 hours if used with the lower settings, or combining low and high temps. However, there is a solution for that and I plan to purchase another battery pack, so I could be warm for a longer period of time. The product is good quality overall. This maybe has less of the nice "features" that Columbia or other brands (or heavier jackets) might provide (e.g. more pockets). I feel it needs an elastic band or cord for fitting it better to your waist or hips, and also for your head (in the hood). I love the interior though, and zippers are made of very good quality. Bonus: your hands stay warm if kept in your pockets for this model of jacket. Of course, I don't think this is made for withstanding rain, and I won't use the battery under those conditions, but has perfectly met my own needs. Bonus experience: I used this jacket at maybe 0°C/32°F or less once and while I still could feel the "very cold temperature" outside, the experience was not very uncomfortable. On the contrary, I was surprised when my friends and other people (with unheated apparel) were slowly retiring themselves and seeking for warmer areas, or going inside, while I was maybe the last man standing and not desperately seeking for a hot beverage. Love it, but batteries could be better with universal connection to the jacket

Love this coat, my only complaint is that the battery doesn't last that long, and so I bought an extra replacement one, which cost me $90 (through the manufacturer because vendor didn't had one availanle), and it keeps unconecting, and goes down even faster then the original. I tried to find another cheaper kind of replacement, but due to the unic wire (headset connection), I couldn't. All the reviews saying pocket is at the back are based on an older model. The pocket was at the front.

Warm Jacket with Heating Element but It Does Run a Bit Large

This jacket is great for a cold day. The material is surprisingly soft and folds very compact. The jacket is quite lightweight (but still warm) so you can feel the weight of the battery, but it's not an issue. Would suggest sizing for a tighter fit so that the heating elements stay close to your body, but this is a jacket that would be easy to layer if it's really cold.

NEEDS A STRING ENCLOSURE OR A FLAP WITH BUTTONS TO TIGHTEN THE HOOD WHEN IN HEAVY COLD WINDS.

I ORDERED THE EXTRA LARGE AS I HEARD THAT IT RUNS TIGHT ON FIT. NORMALLY THE LARGE WILL BE LOOSE ON ME AND THE EXTRA LARGE WOULD BE A SLOPPY FIT WITH ROOM TO WEAR MORE HEAVIER CLOTHING. WITH THIS IT FIT LIKE A GLOVE. THE ONLY THING I HAD A COMPLAINT ABOUT WAS THE LACK OF A FLAP WITH BUTTONS OR A STRING ENCLOSURE ON THE RIM OF THE HOOD TO MAKE THE HOOD TIGHTER IN STRONG COLD WINDS. I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT IT EVEN HEATED MY NECK. ALL IN ALL, IT IS A VERY GOOD HEATED JACKET.

Nice for a gift

My buddy gave me the money and had me order this for his wife for Christmas. She is very happy with the jacket and likes the multiple heating zones. Also the battery life is good (mostly uses it on the medium setting) and she likes the option to be able to charge her phone in a pinch using the jacket's battery pack. I got this on sale and that was a good value.

Fits snugly, size up if wanting comfort

This Venustas Heated Jacket with Battery Pack 7.4V (Unisex) fits snuggly. I order a large, and like it but will probably size up for more of a comfort, especially when I wear long sleeve. It's very lightweight which I like, and the material is comfortable even for a just cool weather as a light jacket. It comes with a rechargeable battery pack, which works well, but it's located in the back which is a bit different but not that much of a discomfort. I generally run hot, so most of the time the jacket is enough, but the fact that it heats up fast helps in colder weather.

great customer service

When I received my first coat, it did not seem like it worked very well. There was very little heat on any setting. I used the email address on the card that was attached to the coat and told them about the issue. They responded immediately and asked me to try a couple of things and video tape me plugging the coat in and turning it on. After I sent them the additional information, they sent me a new coat right away. Huge difference! The first coat must have been defective. I can say that I am very pleased with the comfort and style of this coat. I love the fact that it warms the neck area. Customer service top notch!
